Scar Camouflage
What is Scar Camouflage?
Scar Camouflage is a cosmetic procedure where inkless serum or colored pigment can be used to help improve the appearance of a scar. We treat: surgery scars, burn scars, skin grafts, self-harm, and acne scars.
Why this method?
We understand each scar comes with history and not all history is wanted as a daily reminder of what you have been through. With this combination most clients often see 60-70+% improvement after just one session.
There is an option for insurance reimbursement, contact us to find out how.
When can it be performed?
Anytime AFTER a scar has healed, meaning:
They are white in color
They are NOT pink, or purplish in color
The scar is NOT a Keloid, keloid scars can not be worked on and are best left alone.
If your scar is over 1 year old but still not βwhiteβ indicating healing is still occurring please reach out and some options to help speed that process along can be offered.
Who is NOT a candidate?

Aftercare will vary depending on the type of scar, location, and treatment done.
DO NOT PICK OR DISTURB THE CAMOUFLAGE / PIGMENTED AREA. It is important that IF there is any protective scabs that they stay on during the healing process.
Use a thin layer of provided ointment 2 - 3x per day for the first 5 days. Always apply ointment before bathing or showering.
No soap, shampoo, cleansers, or cosmetics on the pigmentation site for the first 5 days. No saunaβs, steam rooms and baths, hot yoga, or anything that causes excessive sweating for at least 5 days. No swimming in chlorinated pools for 2 weeks. No direct sun or sun tanning beds for 6 weeks.
25% - 40% of the pigment may fade off during the first several weeks of healing. Area may appear to be healed, but camouflage can take 2 - 10 months to heal (longer if skin is darker). If you are unsure of healing status, please text pictures to avoid booking unnecessary appointments. *DO NOT throw out your aftercare as you will need it again after your touch up*
If you have a Tegaderm bandage on the area you can safely leave this bandage on for up to a week. No water activities wearing Tegaderm bandages
When using silicone a deep massage of the product is the most beneficial.Start the massaging of this product after the 5-7 day mark. Use in the morning and night until product is empty.
Excessive swelling β Although rare, excessive swelling or allergic reaction may occur. If excessive swelling occurs, you should consult your doctor. If any allergic reaction causes difficulty breathing and/or swelling, call 911 or go to the Emergency room immediately
Once healed, use SPF products on the treated area(s), it will prevent color from fading'.
Be careful when having peels, microdermabrasion, laser, or using anti aging creams on camouflage as these may contribute to fading
