Do not discontinue any medications prescribed by a physician or any necessary for your health (but some medications may be a contraindication with receiving permanent makeup).

AFTER APPOINTMENT CARE:

The most important part of the healing process is that you TRUST the process.

Freckles may appear red, swollen and much darker than they will heal immediately after the procedure. Swelling and redness should go away within 1-2 days.

DURING INITIAL HEALING (2-7 days +/-):

No picking or scratching at your freckles. If you experience any scabbing during the healing process, do not pick the scabs at all; let them come off on their own. If a scab comes off prematurely, you risk having a gap of missing pigment.. Doing so can result in loss of pigment and/or scarring.

No makeup such as foundation, concealer, ect. For 10 days. Only the provided soap and lip balm should be applied during that time.

Do not wash your face with anything containing fragrances, alcohols, retinoids, or other exfoliating acids for 10 days.

No sweating. No strenuous workouts for the first 3-5 days. The more you sweat the less retention you can have.

No direct sunlight or tanning beds for 2 weeks. If you are going to be out in the sun, wear a hat.  If you are in the sun, your pigment will alter in color, and it will also affect your retention.

No sauna, hot tub, pool, or ocean. You cannot be around the steam from a sauna or hot tub, and you cannot swim in the pool or ocean. If you are going to be pool or oceanside (with a hat & avoiding sweating), make sure you cannot be splashed by the water, and make sure if your hands touch the water that they do not then touch your face.

TO HELP MAINTAIN THE LIFE OF YOUR FRECKLES

Avoid any sun exposure without sunscreen on your freckles. SPF 30+ is recommended, and sunscreen in makeup or skin care is typically not sufficient. Make sure to reapply your sunscreen often throughout the day. Not protecting your freckles from the sun or tanning bed will fade your lips quicker and has the potential to alter the color of the pigment.

Avoid facial treatments while healing and while freckles are fairly new. Getting facials, chemical peels or microdermabrasion can cause fading faster.

Moisturize regularly to keep freckles and skin healthy and hydrated.

After you have had your initial appointment and 6-12 week touch up, there is not a set time that you will need to come back to get your freckles done. As long as you are still happy with your eyeliner, you do not need to come back. At least 50% fading is required before coming back.

Healing on AVERAGE is 14 days, BUT the healing process will be however long it takes YOU to heal. Each person heals differently. With that being said, it is possible for you to finish before 14 days or possibly take longer than 14 days.
